OUR MISSION

Our mission is to provide compassionate care and comprehensive services to all persons 16 years and above impacted by sexual violence.

The Willow Centre is rooted in trauma-informed care and a humanistic perspective. We recognize sexual violence as a form of gender-based violence that impacts individuals of all gender identities, creating a safe, supportive space that embraces diversity. Through education, awareness and community engagement we actively advocate for systemic and societal change.

OUR SERVICES

COUNSELLING

We offer free, trauma-informed, specialized counselling to survivors of sexual violence. Both individual counselling and support groups are offered.

EDUCATION & AWARENESS

Education and awareness activities are an important part of our work and mission statement. Our goal is to provide training opportunities, community presentations, and workshops on topics related to sexual violence to schools, organizations, and businesses. Through activities and events, we aim to show support to survivors, increase awareness and drive systemic and societal change.

COMMUNITY SERVICES

We provide short-term crisis intervention, system navigation, advocacy and support. At the Willow Centre, we aim to build a network of support for survivors. Our support services are designed to provide a safe and compassionate space for survivors, ensuring they receive the care, resources, and guidance they need.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Community collaboration is essential in addressing sexual violence in our community. We are dedicated to cultivating strong partnerships and collaboration among local service providers and organizations. Our goal is to establish a resilient support system that responds to incidents of sexual violence with sensitivity and a trauma-informed approach.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
